The architecture of the cabin responds to the setting of the natural landscape through elevation changes, which progress downward with the topography. The design of the cabin, also, optimizes the view of the river and views of the surrounding trees. The cabin includes an inner, wooden courtyard and a covered porch. The porch faces the river and provides a quiet place to read. The courtyard separates a circular sleeping cot from the place to write.
