Alina Chaudhary SCOM 1000 December 8 2023 5 2 Journal Entry Conflict Management During a team project at work I had a disagreement with a teammate about who should do what and how quickly We had opposing viewpoints with me believing my teammate was slow and them believing I didn t understand their difficulties I tried talking it out and finding common ground at first but as time went on I became more assertive which clarified roles but also created tension My teammate on the other hand chose a more agreeable approach avoiding conflict but not resolving the workload issues In retrospect I would continue to practice open communication but more frequently to ensure that everyone feels heard A mutually beneficial approach finding a middle ground for tasks could have worked better for my teammate If I could do it all over again I would emphasize consistent and clear communication from the start resulting in a more collaborative and effective team dynamic
