England offered the empire with an enormous amount of wealth however England was viewed as a disgusting area by the romans Provinces offered a vast amount of resources which granted an enormous power to the army Roman armies were not slave armies The general of the army was essentially the leader of a mobile city As the roman empire expands the role of the army expands as well The roman army is an instrument of romanization Provincial citizens work closely with roman citizens they form a community that is essential for carrying values practices etc There is no one single leader in a country harder to conquer each has their own processes and ways to deal with intruders The Romans will continue to be in charge of Britain all the way until the fifth century 410 is the first year that Rome is itself sacked raided by germanic tribes
