Public parks such as the Brooklyn Bridge Park offer visitors a variety of entertainment options including courts for volleyball as well as courts for basketball paths for running and biking picnic areas and large playgrounds Brooklyn Bridge utilizes the limited area along the East River to provide visitors with an immense number of entertainment options The park schedules multiple free activities throughout the year totaling over 400 events per year which are made with both children and adults in mind The park design provides areas for running as well as dog running and it even a boat launch while also offering spectacular views of Manhattan Brooklyn Bridge Park utilizes not only areas of land but areas of water also For example a section of the park Pier Five contains synthetic turf for sports and recreational activities The area also includes an area which has picnic tables and grills for outdoor cooking Pier Five also provides a fishing area that includes bait preparation and fish cleaning areas Pier One offers playgrounds boat launches bicycle rentals and even skating rinks Throughout the park there are also various places in which visitors can purchase food and or beverages These areas include snacks ice cream and it is even possible to acquire a glass of wine The park remains successful due to the variety of activities within it However these success causing activities would be impossible if not for the design of the park The design of the park makes it so that every section has a purpose For example open areas in the park are for relaxing or playing games while the paths in the park are for running and exercising The many activities that are offered by the park invite guests to participate in community activities Visitors can conveniently access the park via subway routes bus routes water taxis ferries and the park also includes public parking The easy accessibility of the park allows for both residents and tourists to be encouraged to come enjoy the park The success of the park can be vouched for by the proper design of the space The convenient parking and easy access combined with the activities and dining options available welcomes visitors The special functions allow for maximum use of land and water The park provides entertainment for the community while also providing something for visitors to do PART 3 PROGRAM SUMMARY 13 PTS 3 1 IDENTIFY YOUR ROLE AS A CLIENT 3 sentence maximum 1 PT I am the elected official in charge of developing a park for the downtown area of Leesville Louisiana I have been selected to direct this project and select a firm to construct the park The workers and residents of the area are in much need of an outdoor space 3 2 DESCRIBE THE SITE 8 sentence maximum 4 PTS The park will be located in the downtown area of a semi large city within walking distance of many major businesses in the town There are a great variety of potential visitors to the park These potential visitors include upper middle and lower class citizens as well as senior citizens and children Due to the park s close vicinity to Spring 2015 Answer Template many businesses there is the chance that many people will visit the park during lunch breaks or after work There are also many houses and apartments semi close to the area and the park will be able to provide an area for those inhabitants to be able to enjoy fresh air and exercise There will be large areas to play swings and a playground for children with picnic areas nearby for adults to enjoy while their children play The park will also include a walking trail not too large in size due to the city not being very large and not having adequate space for a large trail so that visitors of the park can walk or run without disturbances The
