BUSI 410 Lab Practice 1 This first lab practice is intended to provide you with some practice on using Excel Solver to solve Linear Programming problems This builds on the mechanics you learned in class Getting comfortable with Excel will make the later portions of Linear Programming easy In this exercise use Excel to replicate the solution to the Insulation Problem discussed in the course pack First read pages 1 5 of the Note on Linear Programming paying special attention to the Insulation Problem discussed there Make sure you understand the objective function decision variables and constraints Next follow the steps in the note Using Excel to solve a linear programming problem in your course pack to obtain the Answer Report shown in Figure 3 of that same note Submit the Answer Report on Canvas as a Word or pdf document Remember that lab practice assignments are individual assignments and are graded only for completion not correctness As long as I am convinced that you made an honest effort to complete the lab practice assignments you will receive full credit
