Marketing1. The objective of the study was to test the roles of nominal affiliation groups and the effect they had on the person’s feelings and behavior towards the company associated with the nominal affiliation group through a loan website.2. The research conducted was experimental research. This is because there is a cause and effect relationship between whether the participants joined a lending team or not. The cause and effect relationship was if they didn’t join a lending team, then they gave out fewer loans. 3. The researchers concluded that by having customers affiliate themselves with a group, they are more likely to develop positive feelings for that group, resulting in profit for the company associated with the group. 4. In the research conducted, the people in the lending teams were committed hence why they gave out more loans, but the researches proposed that marketers only have to have customers click a button to join a community, and just clicking a button doesn’t show thatthey are committed. This is a potential flaw in how the researchers designed and applied their research.Parkinson’s1. The objective of the study was to test whether pesticides and other environmental factors had an effect on the development of Parkinson’s disease in people or not. 2. The research conducted was correlational research. The amount of pesticides, environmental factors, sugar intake, and dietary fat were associated with an increased chance of developing Parkinson’s disease, which is a positive correlation since the dependent variable, the chance of developing Parkinson’s disease, increases as the independent variable, the amount of pesticides, environmental factors, sugar intake, and dietary fat, increases.3. The researchers did not reach a clear conclusion. They were not able to find a clear correlation between the consumption of pesticides along with other environmental factorsand the development of Parkinson’s disease. They stated it was possible for there to be a correlation, although they were unsure because of other factors that might be involved, such as genetic predisposition, dietary fat, sugar intake, and the use of certain drugs.4. The document states that the study started recording dietary intake later in life, meaning that they didn’t record dietary intake earlier in life, which could affect whether they develop Parkinson’s disease or not. Furthermore, genetic disposition could have an effect on the development of Parkinson’s, along with sugar intake, dietary fat, and the use of certain
