Paula Newton English 102March 26, 2013Donald A. Norman,The Psychology People and MachinesDonald A. Norman is vice president of advanced technology at Apple Computer, and a professor emeritus at the University of California at San Diego. The scientific community calls this approach “automagical” automatic plus magical. The manufacturer want us to believe in and trust magic. Even when thingswork it is somewhat discomforting to have no idea of how or why. People are not always allowed to interact with machines is causing a lack of common ground. Their are systems that avoid this danger that suggest rather than de-mand, that allow people to understand and choose rather than confronting them with unintelligible action. The lack of common ground preclude many conversation like
