SOCI 101: Intro to SociologyProfessor DestroWhat is Sociology?Pre-class Questionnaire1This assignment will be ungraded, but it is an important opportunity to communicate your questions, concerns and thoughts regarding your impending classroom experience (not to mention practice your writing and the assignment-submission procedure). Please respond to these questions honestly, appropriately and to the best of your ability. Your responses are due before the beginning of class on Friday August 31. 1) What motivated you to schedule this course? 2) What are your expectations of the course?3) What goals do you have for this course? (i.e. What would you like to have learned, talked about, thought about by the end of the semester? How should your knowledge and perspective be different by the time we’re done with this class?) 4) What have you heard about the course?5) What sorts of issues or concerns do you think you might deal with?6) What is sociology?
