The System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)- SDLC- the process for those who want to lead IT-enabled change- Two common approaches for SDLC- Waterfall & Agileo Waterfall- phased approach, some iteration b/w phases, but in general the idea is to minimize this iteration and have everything done before the next phaseo Agile- this phase approach is really difficult, oftentimes you don’t know what you want from a system until you see it; constant continuous iteration of all phases quickly is essence of agileo SCRUM- popular approacho XP- popular approach - Analysis, requirements, Design, Implementation, Analyze- Analyze with respect to the goals of the business, their customer segments, the value the business provides, etc- A firm eye of the business model will help when analyzing any existing situation- Project managers pay attention to the budgets,milsetones, goals and activities throughout the process to make sure that the SDLC process delivers what it is supposed toIII.
