Professional development resources are available to you on campus and in the required text to aid in construction of cover letters and resumes.- Review of Internship Booklet (Due, Thursday, February 23) - -, ,+Each student is to complete all of the appropriate exercises assigned in Internships in Recreation and Leisure Services. These exercises are not to be removed from the booklet. Exercises are to be completed legibly in pen or pencil, without scratchouts.- Review of Portfolio – (Due, Monday, March 2)Provide notebook, organizational strategy, relevant information and materials.- Evaluation of Mock Interviews – In Class Assignment (Due, Monday, March 23) – 20 PointsThe students being interviewed will be introduced, evaluation sheets will be provided for the interviewers and process described. Interviewers responsibilities will include: 1) describing the manner in which the interviewee answered questions, and 2) completing an evaluation form foreach interviewee.- Completion of Internship Booklet (Due, Thursday, March 26) – 100 PointsEach student is to complete all of the appropriate exercises contained in Internships in Recreation and Leisure Services. These exercises are not tobe removed from the booklet, you will turn in the entire booklet to the instructor on the due date. Exercises are to be completed legibly in pen or pencil, without scratchouts.- Case Study (Due, Monday, April 6) – 25 PointsEach student is to answer the questions identified as part of the Case Study, small group discussion in class.- Trends Affecting Leisure Services Profession – In Class Assignment (Due, Monday, April 20) - 20 PointsStudents will be divided into emphasis area groups. You will identify two major trends of your emphasis area with supporting evidence.- Completion of Portfolio (Due, Monday, April 27) – 100 PointsEach student is to organize materials in a looseleaf notebook with individual inserts that can identify different sections.- Professional Philosophy (Due, Friday, May 1) – FINAL EXAM – 50 PointsEach student is to present his/her personal beliefs associated with the leisure services trends identified during class Monday, April 20.
