Discussion will focus on current issues in recreation and leisureconcerning the management of the program planning process and provisionof recreation services to diverse groups and in a variety of settings.Information will be presented and discussed concerning the role andfunction of park and recreation delivery systems in communities.B. Objectives:1. To provide the student with an understanding of philosophies, theoriesand behavioral bases of park, recreation and leisure services.2. To provide the student with opportunities to gain knowledge of theprogram planning process from foundation to evaluation.3. To provide the student with an understanding of the management ofvarious recreation service delivery systems.4. To provide the student with opportunities to critically analyze currentissues related to the program planning process and the provision ofrecreation services.C.
