ESSAY ROLES TEST Nursing Role Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner 1 Discuss the potential for professional growth and promotion for the selected role Use statistics from local paper nursing journals hospital postings or other sources Changes in healthcare over the past several years have prompted the demand for more providers Society now looks for the Physician Assistant PA or the Nurse Practitioner NP to fill the need Many opportunities exist for the NP nursing research education Mental Health Nurse Practitioner MHNP Acute Care Nurse Practitioner ACNP and Clinical Nurse Specialist CNP are only a few opportunities available Of 116 447 Nurse Practitioners in the United States approximately 5 293 are ACNPs Kleinpell 2006 p 8 The remaining 111 154 NPs in the United States represent other specialty areas 2 State the salary range for the role selected in the geographic area in which you work How does that compare with the salary ranges for the same role nationally In Jacksonville
