All students must work independently on all assigned work, unless explicitly stated otherwise.2. HOMEWORK will be assigned and collected. Late homework will NOT be accepted. Thelowest two homework grades will be dropped.3. There will be PROJECTS done individually or in groups.4. The HOMEWORK and PROJECTS grades will be combined to produce a grade out of 200points.5. MAKE-UPS for MAJOR EXAMS will be given only in case of an absence authorized underUniversity Regulations. You will need a note from your doctor or your academic dean’s office.If you know in advance that you will miss an exam, please contact me so that you can take themake-up in advance. If you email me, be sure to include your phone number.6. ATTENDANCE is REQUIRED. Attendance will be taken in lecture. If you sign the roll sheet,you are expected to remain in the classroom for the entire 75 minutes. More than 2 absencesmay have a detrimental effect on your grade especially in borderline cases.7. You must have your ID with you at all exams. You MAY use a simple CALCULATOR duringexams but NO PROGRAMMABLE, GRAPHICS or ALGEBRAIC CALCULATORS and NOLAPTOP COMPUTERS. You will use MAPLE on the COMPUTER during part of the Exams.8. © COPYRIGHT Philip B. Yasskin 2005.
