Desert Pavement formation theories
-Formation theory no.1: over a time the wind blows away the smaller particles and leaves the heavier ones on top. -Formation theory no.2: Bedrock that has been weathered with large chunks on top. The soil, because there are spaces left, some of it falls down into the cracks and accumulates under the stones and pushes the stones up until you have a bunch of sand beneath the mosaic of stones.
