Term Project for UNLV Civil 3D class Spring 2008.You have been hired to design a 4 ac subdivision. Your client wants 9 lots on the property. You must provide a 40’ private street giving access from Gubler Ave. You will provide a grading plan and a plan and profile of the site when you are finished.Design Constraints-Min Lot Size is 20,000 ft2-Min Frontage 50 ft- Max slope for street is 6%- Min slope for street is 0.5%- Max Grade Change without Vertical Curve 1% in 100ft- Vertical Curve from AASHTO Curve Tables- Max Slope for grading is 2:1- Finish Floor Pad to be 1.5’ above the crown of the street.- Dead End street require a Cul-de-sac- Knuckles may be requiredTasks1. Insert the file from the Surveyor into a new drawinga. Convert Land Desktop points to Civil 3D pointsi. Put the points in a new points group called “Existing Points”ii. Set the Benchmark datum for the points to 1300 ft2. Create the Existing Surface from the points and breaklines givena. Name- “Existing Surface”b. Style- “Contours 1’ and 5’ (Background)”c.
