To become familiar with the syntactical structureof the French language.2. To recognize the sounds of the spoken language.3. To become aware of the nature of articulatingsounds to communicate in French.4. To understand the written word and interpret itsmeaning.5. To be exposed to various aspects of French culture.Obligation of the Student 1. Attend all class sessions, (a most important factor inforeign language study.) Be prompt in arriving toclass, no early departures. Roll will be takenwithin first 5 minutes of class. You will be countedabsent if not present when roll is taken.2. Complete homework and oral presentations.3. Take chapter exams, in-class dictations, and final exam.Course Content: 1. Pronunciation2. Aural comprehension3. Reading and vocabulary study4.
