Assignment#1 Survey on sensors and actuatorsSlide-6Basic Working PrincipleThe fast steering mirror has been developed in several different sizes and configurations for many various applications. It features a circular or elliptical mirror mounted on a two-axis flex pivot. Two pairs of voice coil actuators steer the mirror and two matched pairs of differential position sensors measure its angle. The mirror is under closed loop servo control from a two-channel digital controller contained on the associated PCB. The PCB accepts analogue or digital mirror position commands and returns analogue and digital mirror position measurements.01/13/19ECE5320 Mechatronics.
