The hare is much faster than the turtle, and because of this the hare is boisterous and arrogant. The race begins, and the tortoise quickly gets behind in the race. The hare, thinking the tortoise has no chance, eventually decides that he has time to take a nap. When the hare awakens, the tortoise is inches from crossing the finish line. Realizing that he is going to lose, the hare desperately tries to catch up, but it is much too late. The turtle crosses the finish line, and wins the race. This game’s timeline takes place after this point in time. The hare doesn’t want tosettle for losing to the turtle, so he decides to try and get back at the turtle. It doesn’t leadto another race, but instead the hare takes the turtle’s lucky beanie hat. It is up to the turtle to get it back.Game play and AppearanceThis game is a side-scrolling two dimensional platform game. The game will takeplace both on land and in water. The turtle will be able to jump, hide in his shell, and squirt water from his mouth in order to attack his enemies, as well as roll around while in the shell to crash into enemies. The turtle cannot shoot water while swimming underwater. Various enemies will try and attack Shelton, such as foxes, birds, and fish. The final battle will be against Harry, the bunny that stole Shelton’s beanie. The bunny will jump around on the screen and throw carrots at Shelton. Shelton must avoid these carrots, and shoot the hare with water blasts. All of the characters will represent animals in the real world, however each one inthis game will have some sort of comical twist added to each animal if possible. The turtle will have a friendly smile, and the rabbit would be wearing a beanie.Development SpecificationI plan on designing and testing this game with Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 using DirectX Libraries, such as direct sound for the sound files, and direct draw for bitmaps and blitting. The goal is to make a side-scrolling game similar to the classic Super Mario Brothers. Voice Actors will be used to create sound effects for the turtle’s attack, jump, and maybe a scripted dialog for the two characters at times.Product SpecificationProduction Team DescriptionI am the sole developer for this game. I will have help with the voice acting, as well as some drawing assistance from anyone I can find to help me edit images. If this is not possible, then I will be doing this as well.Target AudienceThe target audience for this game should be safe for anyone to play. There are some minor violent acts, but done in a comical way, such as destroying enemies with water blasts, or the hare throwing carrots to harm Shelton.Game PlayThis game is a side-scrolling two dimensional platform game. The voice acting will be recorded using Windows Sound Recorder, which will also be used to edit wav files used in the game. Microsoft Paint willbe used to touch up any artwork that may need editing.Game SpecificationWhat is it like to play the game? This game is similar to the classic Super Mario Brother games, except for the fact that the main character is a turtle instead of a plumber. Instead of jumping on enemy to defeat it, the turtle will have a water blast attack that he can destroy enemies with. This blast doesn’t traverse the whole screen, so the turtle will have to be up close to use it properly. Likewise, the turtle will also be able to hide in his shell, which will allow the turtle to escape danger. The turtle is too slow to dodge out of the way of most obstacles that he will face, so the shell will become a very important aspect of the game.Interface MockupThis is the main title screen. It shows a quick demonstration to what happened so far. Asyou can see, the rabbit falls asleep thinking that he has plenty of time for a nap before the turtle catches up, while the turtle does in fact catch up and win the race, wearing his lucky beanie hat. The user simply presses enter to begin the game. The interface for this game is simple. The player controls the turtle. There will be pits tojump over, and enemies to defeat as well. The turtle has three heart containers. Each filled container represents the turtle’s health. When the turtle is damaged, a heart container
