(It is directly below the File menu.)Note: the camera image will not update in the window instantaneously,but this does not mean it is not recording.• Stop Recording: To stop recording click the icon displaying a squareblack box, it is located a little below and to the right of the record icon.• Checking for lost frames: After the Stop Recording button is presseda yellow icon displaying a camera will appear in the upper left-handcorner of the camera image area, it is labelled “Video Recorded Icon.”Right click on this icon and select Statistics. . . from the pop-up menu.Make sure that you have 0 frames dropped. If you have dropped framesexperiment with decreasing the camera resolution or frame rate to en-sure that the system does not drop frames. Click on the OK button toclose the Statistics. . . dialog box.• Viewing the video frame by frame: Take a preview of the video bypressing the play icon, it has an arrow pointing to the right displayedon it and is located directly below the record icon. To collect the datafrom each frame use the left arrow and right arrow keys to decrementand increment frames respectively.22.003 Fall 2002 Digital Camera SetupSaving the videoRemovable Disk (X:)To save the video right-click on the yellow camera icon located in the topleft-hand corner of the camera image window and click on Save As.ASaveAs dialog window will pop up as shown above.1. Save the file to your Zip disk by selecting your Zip disk from the Savein selection box at the top of the dialog box.2. Name the file as you desire and select Custom AVI. . . under the Saveas type selection box.3. Click on Save in the Save As. . . dialog box.4. A Video Compression dialog box should pop up. Click on the Config-ure. . . button and reduce the Data Rate to roughly 1000 kilobytes persecond by moving the slider to the left. Click on the OK button. Nowclick the Video Compression window’s OK button. The file should becompressed and saved to your Zip disk for later
