To become familiar with the syntactical structure of the French language.2. To recognize the sounds of the spoken language.3. To become aware of the nature of articulating sounds to communicate in French.4. To undestand the written word and interpret its meaning.5. To be exposed to various aspects of French culture.Obligation of the Student 1. Attend all class sessions ( a most important factor in foreign language study). Be promptin arriving to class, no early departures.2. Complete homework/writing assignments and workbook.3. Take chapter exams and final exam ( oral and written).4.
