Downloading Minitab 15 Minitab, version 15 is available for free (for the PC) from your my.calpoly account. 1) From my.calpoly.edu, click on the Technology tab. 2) Scroll down to the Software Download Channel and select Windows. Here you should see “Minitab 15.1.20” listed. Click Download (the second line). 3) Click the “I accept the above License Agreement” button. Then, in Internet Explorer, you can click Run or click Save (a little more reliable if you have any problems) (or select Save File in Mozilla Firefox).4) It should take 3 or 4 minutes to download. If you clicked Run, you may also have select Run again to verify the publisher or if you saved the file you can now double click on the executable file (MTB151CalState.exe) probably located on your desktop and then click Run. 5) Next the files are going to self-extract into a (Destination) folder. It’s not crucial where this folder is located, but you should keep track of where it is. It may be easiest to put it on your Desktop by pressing the Browse button and then selecting Desktop from the pull down menu (and typing in the Minitab15 part). Press Install.6) It’s possible the InstallShield Wizard for Minitab 15 will start automatically but you will probably have to go to the folder you specified as the destination folder and then double click on setup.exe 7) This will start the InstallShield Wizard. Click Next. 8) I recommend selecting the option to put a shortcut icon for Minitab 15 on your Desktop. So make sure that box is checked and then click Install.A few minutes will pass again. When prompted, click Finish. 9) You should now be able to click Start> All Programs >Minitab Solutions >Minitab 15: 10) When you launch Minitab for the first time, it will ask you about the License: 11) You should select the second radio button (“Specify the License File:”) and then browse to the first folder that was created during this download process and select “minitab.lic” and press Open. 12) The path name should now appear in the Specify the License File box. Press OK and Minitab 15 should be up and running. You will not have to repeat this process
