Overview - ErikChromeI.In early September Google introduced a new Web Browser called Chrome . The move takes Google into competition with Microsoft’s IE which encompasses 75% of the web browser market. II. Design- In terms of design Chrome comes with some bold changes from the standard browser design and a new features. Such as being able to email links and web pages directly from the browser. The browser itself does away with a lot of the menus and tool bars to dedicate as much screen space as possible to web pages.i. Still in beta testingii. Omni box combination address/ search boxiii. Tabbed browsing each tab runs as a separate browseriv. Faster than new version of IE8v. Designed to be fasted browser in handle JavaScript III. Google sees web as a medium for programs and applicationsa. As technology develops this move can transform Chrome into a sort of online operating system that will compete with various OS’sb. The faster processing of JavaScript will encourage developers to build richer applications for the spurring usage of Chrome and ultimately benefiting Google.AndroidI. T-Mobile to offer Google’s new Android OS in its new smart phone the G1. a. Google is helping keep the costs down by contributing resources to the development of the phone in hopes of selling the G1 in high volumes in order to attract more carriers to Android devices.b. The phone itself will carry the Google brand on the back.c. G1 is $179 dollars twenty dollars cheaper than the iphoneII. T-Mobile is playing down its presence on the G1 phone in hopes that theGoogle name will spur more internet usage.III.
