Advice from Last Year’s Class Fall 2002I asked last year’s 231–232 students what advice they would have for entering 231–232 students and thisis what they said. Notice that just about everyone says: DO YOUR HOMEWORK EVERY DAY!• Keep up with homework. Start off good so that when the material gets more difficult, you canallow room for mistakes.• Do all the homework.• Keep up on assignments. Do the work for the day that day so you don’t get behind in any section. This also helps you identify your weaknesses. Read every section well and make notes. Good luck!• Don’t get behind on the homework. Do all the homework. Read the sections.• Do the homework the day you do that section (in class). Read the book. Go to class and payattention.• Absolutely do your homework. Reading the book before you come to class makes the lecture somuch clearer. Even if you don’t have time to read, just skim. Go to the math help center until Mr.Cunningham knows your name.• Read the book, don’t think that just because you took notes you don’t have to read the book. Youdo.• Don’t hesitate or wait until the last minute to ask for help. Don’t miss class on quiz day. Do thehomework the night it is assigned TWICE. Read the section immediately before and after class.Participate in class discussion. See the professor in her office for extra help.• Make sure you do your homework as soon as it is assigned or you will put it off and put it off andthen you are going to have to work ten times as hard to get back on track.• Do your homwork and don’t get behind! Get as much help as you can! Ask questions in class.Make a 231/232 t-shirt for class spirit :)• Do all the homework the night it is assigned. Mainly keep on top of the work, because once youfall back it is very hard to get on track.• Find friends to work with and do so all year long (preferably the same people).• Do homework as soon after class as possible. Don’t hold off until the end of the week.• Outline sections same day as class. Do all homeworks. Ask questions.• GO THE THE MATH/SCIENCE LEARNING CENTER! I live there, this place is great. Mr.Cunningham and all the students that work there can answer any question you have. Also, do thehomework on time, don’t cram. It’s just too much info to wait until the last minute.• Take it (Math 231/232). 231 and 232 courses are more elaborately explained.• Go see her during the office hours, and actually READ the textbook’s chapter info.• Ask questions if you’re confused at all. Do the homework and get help as much as you need it.Don’t feel stupid getting help... everyone does sometime.• Do the homework the day you go over the material in class, because it helps a whole lot. Go toLaura’s office and ask for help. When you need it, she knows how to help.• Do your homework every night. This will help you to understand, and then if you don’t, you canask questions. Also, get a GREAT math buddy so you can do the work together because it helpsyou talk and understand it.more →• Do your homework... as soon after class as possible. Don’t fall behind!!!• Do the homework, it really does give you a lot of practice; and if there is something that you don’tunderstand and you start to fall behind, see Laura ASAP about having lunch. You’ll get some helpwith calculus and she’ll get to have lunch!! :)• Make sure you stay on top of the work. Do the homework every day.• Do your homework and go see your teacher.• You have to do your homework, like the day it is assigned, and try to do it in the math lab so youcan get feedback immediately on the things you don’t understand.• Do your homework.• Do all of the homework in the math/science learning center in Wilson. Become good friends withMr. Cunningham.• If you have issues with a section/chapter, don’t hesitate to go to the Math Help Center or asksomeone else.• Stay on top of everything!! Even if you know the material, do your work!!• Do your homework. See Laura during office hours. Ask lots of questions.• Actually DO the homework. Pay attention in class :) (not like you wouldn’t! he he)• Do the homework, come to class.• I would suggest that you do the homework and attend class every
