No; everyone’s ethics are different (beyond basics – don’t murder, rob a bank, etc).Little decisions form your ethical principles – people around you, work environment, etc all add upEgo influences decisions involving ethics Like our national debt – it wasn’t sudden; it’s built over timeGood to share decisions; teams; partnersMarana – when budget cuts came, they went to employees and explained and let them come up with ideasEmployees voluntarily gave back $ ½ mil from salaries to town of MaranaCut a few programs and part-time staff but no huge layoffs Create environment that encourages communication and discussion, even if everyone doesn’t agreeWhen you have to make a decision that will make some people unhappy, you have to be able to explain WHY; reassure everyone that the facts were taken into consideration, everyone’s voice was heard – it’s impossible to please everyoneWhen you get out in the world don’t forget or leave behind your core values when you face challenges in family, personal, or work
