Convert CFM to PHP– Exercise 1. First, in a browser, open the default ColdFusion report that comes with Autodesk MapGuide 6.5: http://www.mapguide.com/mapguide6.5/sample_world/sample_world.cfm?OBJ_KEYS=506,508 Figure: ColdFusion Report from www.mapguide.com (bundled with MapGuide 6.5) 2. Now open the report that was created with PHP (you may need to add a port of 8008): http://localhost:8008/MIGRATION/sample_world.php?OBJ_KEYS=506,508 Figure: PHP report 3. Open the PHP page in NOTEPAD.exe: C:\Projects\AU2006MIGRATION\web\Sample_World.php 4. Open the CFM page in NOTEPAD.exe C:\Program Files\Autodesk\MapGuideServer6.5\Projects\Sample_World\Web\Sample_World.cfm 5. Compare: • CFQUERY with the $rs=odbc_exec($conn,$sql) • CFOUTPUT with the while (odbc_fetch_row($rs)) • #NAME# with the odbc_result($rs,'NAME') 6. Close your notepads, you have successfully learned to migrate a CFM report into a PHP report. 2GS21-1L Migrating to Autodesk MapGuide® Enterprise B. Converting MWFs into Web Layouts – Exercise 1. Open Autodesk MapGuide Data Migration Tool. 2. Click the Connect to Site button. 3. Enter: http://localhost:8008/mapguide (Note: ask your instructor for the port number if Apache is used with MapGuide Enterprise.) 4. For the User ID, enter Administrator 5. For the Password, enter Admin and click OK. 6. For the local path, click the browse button and choose: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\MapGuideServer6.5\Projects\Sample_World\Web\ Figure: Local Path in DMT 7. Highlight Sample_World.mwf in the Source Files area and click the single > button. 8. Enter the following paths for each of the migrated settings: Layouts: Library://Sample_World/LAYOUTS Maps: Library://Sample_World/MAPS Layers: Library://Sample_World/LAYERS Feature Sources: Library://Sample_World/DATA Symbol Libraries: Library://Sample_World/SYMBOLS 9. Click the Migrate button to migrate the Sample_World.MWF file into Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise 2007. Note: The details of the migration are shown in the Migration Messages window, and are also stored in the C:\Program Files\Autodesk\MapGuideStudio2007\MigrationLogFiles\ folder. There were no errors but some warnings with this migration. Figure: Some Popup Menu and No Zoom Goto items migrated with DMT 10. Open Autodesk MapGuide Studio 2007. Enter: http://localhost:8008/mapguide 11. For the User ID, enter Administrator 12. For the Password, enter Admin and click OK. 13. Explorer the Site Explorer to see the folders and data stored beneath the Sample_World folder. 14. Beside the Preview in Browser using AJAX Viewer, click GO. 16. Internet Explorer will open, enter Anonymous as the user. Do not enter a password. Click OK. Figure: Sample World Map Web Layout in Internet Explorer 17. You have successfully migrated you MapGuide 6.5 MWF into an Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise 2007 Web Layout. Note: To avoid the username and password, just add the following to your URL “&USERNAME=Anonymous&PASSWORD=” 4GS21-1L Migrating to Autodesk MapGuide® Enterprise C. Add Countries Layer & Web Layout Search - Exercise 1. In Autodesk MapGuide Studio 2007, browse to Library://Sample_World/LAYERS in Site Explorer. 2. Right-click the LAYERS folder and choose New>Layer. 3. For the Data resource, choose Library://Sample_World/DATA/Sample_World_SDF_Sample_World_Countries 4. Accept the default settings and save the Layer as Countries. 5. Open Library://Sample_World/MAPS/Sample World Map and click the Add Layer button in the Layers Section. 6. Choose Countries and click Open (see Figure). Note: Since JOINed Features are not yet supported by the Search tool in MapGuide Studio 2007, we have to add the Countries layer which is a SDF file without any Joins to Microsoft Access. Figure: Select Countries Layer in Map Editor 7. Save the Map. 8. Open the Sample World Map Web Layout. 9. At the bottom of the Layout, in the New Commands Section, choose Add>Search. Click the Additional Parameters Tab. 12. Enter Type Country Name for the Prompt. 13. For Search This Layer, choose Counties. 14. Click the button to the right of the Pass The Search Term Into This Filter. 15. Choose Name for the Property. 16. Choose Like for the Condition. 17. Choose $USER_VARIABLE for the Value 18. Beside $USER_VARIABLE enter a % for a wild card (see Figure). Figure: Filter Parameters for Country Name Search 19. Click OK. 20. Click the Add button to add Name to the list of results. 21.
