Stress 2: R&B event This stress will be caused by a workshop I have to attend on behalf of the Red & Black newspaper team. As this is my first assignment on staff that I will be covering for the Red & Black I’m nervous considering I don’t know what to expect. In order to combat this stress I will: - Arrive to the event 15 minutes early so that I will have time to familiarize myself with the surroundings.- Give myself a pep talk before the event to prepare myself mentally and so that I don’t freak myself out over my first assignment. Stress 3: Upcoming quiz in journalism course (Assignment 2)This stress will be caused by the first “news quiz” of the semester in my journalism class. The news quiz is stressful because it covers all the current news in the past month and since this is the first quiz I’m not sure what to expect. In order to combat this stress I will: - Visit my teacher’s office hours and ask questions to get a greater understanding of what to expect on the quiz. - Review the notes I took on the current news as well as get a good night’s rest as this helps me concur the day’s tasks. Stress 4: Upcoming geography test (Assignment 3)This stress will be caused by the first geography test of the semester. In order to combat this stress I will: - Start studying several days in advance, as cramming is not something that works for me especially when there is a lot of information involved. - Allow myself time take breaks while studying and do yoga as this helps me clear my mind and focus.Polly Usman Stress 5: R&B first article dueThis stress will be caused by the due date of my first article as member of the Red & Black.
