It covers a comprehensive overview of technologies, security, and design best practices with particular emphasis on hands on skills in the following areas: 1 • Wireless LAN setup & troubleshooting 2 • 802.11 (a, b, and g) technologies, products, and solutions 3 • Radio Technologies 4 • WLAN applications and site surveys 5 • Resilient WLAN products, design, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting 6 • WLAN security 7 • Vendor interoperability strategies 8 • Emerging wireless technologies This hands-on, lab-oriented course stresses documentation, design, and installation issues, as well as laboratory safety, on-the-job safety, and working effectively in group environments. This course will help prepare students for the Cisco Wireless LAN Support Specialist designation. This course has been designed for 70 contact hours. Approximately 40 hours will be designated to lab activities and 30 hours will be spent on curriculum content.
