White papers will be graded.1 IntroductionThe introduction should provide motivation, clear problem statment, andbrief sketch of the most relevant prior work with citations. The introductionshould be accessible to anyone in the class, and should not expect too muchbackground knowledge. This is especially true if the white paper appliesmodal logic in your own area of research.2 Project DescriptionDescribe the proposed work, to the extent that you can at the white paperstage. This may include additional background, examples of the problemand proposed solutions. Be explicit about how you plan to approach theproblem and what is novel about it compared to prior work. If you haveconjectures or plan to prove certain theorems, state them as clearly as possi-ble. If you plan an implementation, sketch its functionality.
