FactorsCurrent LectureThis course is going to be based on biology, education, and health psychology all used to analyze the drug effects. The professor wants us to understand the good and bad of the drug and to analyze the reason for using the drug. This class is to analyze the various drugs used in modern society, but must be analyzed as objective as we can. Professor emphasized that he is not going to make you change your mind on your views on drugs, he wants us to analyze in an objective way. The syllabus is only available via the Professor Profile or the Psychology Department under course syllabi. Professor Fuchs will only open blackboard after the census date and after the first exam. To meet him personally, his office hours are on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. He will try to accommodate with you schedule asclose as he can, to set up an appointment you will need to contact him via the mavs email and you must send him an email. For a simply question from the lecture or reading you can also contact him via mavs email. He will also have an assistant her name is Michelle White. She will be in charge to the distribution and grade of the exams. To review and exam you have to set an appointment to see the grade and the missed questions.This course is design to read the textbook and attend the lectures. This course will require to read the textbook prior to coming to lecture to have a better understanding of the material. The professor will have four multiple choice exams, the final not being comprehensive. Our last exam will take on November 20, 2014. He also mention if there is any reason you miss an exam and you present evidence and reason, he will have to determine he will let you retake the exam. Now any exam that must be retaken will take place on December 2, 2014, he will not have any other date for a makeup exam. To understand the rest of the chapter of this course. We need to go over the factor to consider each drug that we encounter in our society. The first one being the person taking the drug. To be more specific we are referring the age of the person using the drug. The second factor is the kind of drug they are taking. The person taking the drug are the using illicitly or licitly. The difficult part is the how each of the methods affect the person.The last factor is the amount of the drug taken by the person. Different quantities can make a lot or little effect on the person. In order to succeed in this class you must read and attend lectures. To understand the various categories of drugs we must use the six factors to analyze in an objective way.
