Week 7 Reflections on Practice Workshop: Preparation for Thursday, February 22This week we will all meet together in Sem 2D 1107 at 9 to learn about the Professional Certificate – the second level of teacher certification in Washington State and to do some comprehensive self-assessment using the criteria upon which the Professional Certificate is based. You don't need to bring anything to our Sem 2 meeting but you may want to bring the completed or in-progress parts of your portfolio (on a thumb drive or laptop) to the computer center. Around 10:15 we will go together to the computer center where you will complete a self-assessment form and develop a draft professional growth plan. These will be the last two items to go into your web portfolio, and so once these are completed, and everything else in your portfolio is in place, you can turn those into me (Scott). With that in mind, I have created a checklist(see below) that describes all the items that should be included in the portfolio. You may want to use this form to check that you have included all that should be included in the portfolio – I will be using a form similar to this to guide me as I reviewyour portfolios. In its final form, all the files that make up the portfolio should be placed into one folder – with a name like "KatherinesWebPortfolio". You will then transfer this folder to me – either through the MIT firewire drive or my thumb drive in the computer center on February 22 or March 1, on a CD, or you can stop by my office and do the transfer there. The final date to turn in the web portfolio is March 1.Reflective Portfolio ChecklistMIT 2007 Winter Quarter 2007Item / Category weekintroducedthis quartercriteria√ or-1.
