ES305 Fall 2009Instructions for Mapping the ES305 Course Drive1. Double-click on My Computer2. Select Tools|Map Network Drive3. In the Folder box type: \\fs2\JCarroll\ES305 (note the two backslashes) then click on Finish4. In User name type AD\ followed by your Active Directory user name (e.g. AD\mcdonar), fill in your Active Directory password, and click on OK (it may take a while… be patient).Note:- The ES305 drive will appear as a Network drive (mapped to the next available letter) which you can access just like the C: drive. In the subdirectory “Students\Fall_2009” there are individual folders where you can save homework and files relevant to ES305. In addition, team folders are available for team project work. Handouts are in the Common subdirectory under the relevant topic.- Once a network drive has been mapped (assuming you left the “reconnect at logon” box checked), the next time you log onto your AD account you only need to double-click on “My Computer” and double-click on the “Es305 on fs2\JCarroll” icon. Then repeat step 4 (again it may take some time before the dialog box appears requesting your user name).- You don’t have to actually map the network drive. You can double-click on “My Computer” and then enter \\fs2\JCarroll\ES305 in the Address
