Template Instructions Structural and Rhetorical Analysis of a Commencement Speech Panel Discussions Attendance is required Communicate with me and your group ahead or time or within 24 hours if you must be absent Work ahead if at all possible just in case Zoom with your group if necessary if possible No use of Ai without permission All work on slides must be done in the assigned Google slides site to get credit for meeting deadlines Keep a daily log table of your personal work and participation in the project PROJECT LOG in Module 6 Individual slides must clearly indicate the responsible student s name in the upper left of the spreaker notes area below the three dots under the slide This must match the task assignments on the table for slide responsibility assignments Smaller groups will have fewer slides I will give out the full template and then modify it prior to M Oct 28 Anyone who does not complete their assigned slides on time will have their project grade penalized or failed Most slides will include quotes and bulleted key idea words or phrases from the script for that slide Only the intro and conclusion may be in paragraph form All fonts must be sans serif and larger than 18 points Slides should have 100 250 words of text in full sentences as a script to be spoken verbatim in the notes area s except for Intro and conclusion which may be paragraphs You should use terminology and definitions from our class materials No additional slides may be added without my permission Choose strong examples The script is due when the slides are due You will copy the speaker notes areas into a text document to print to use print in advance to present We will not be presenting off your computers We will present seated Informal Several slides should have one or more unique pictures with the url s for the photo s in a textbox near the picture s on the slide below it if possible Do not reuse the same photo All fonts must be sans serif and larger than 18 points except for Works Cited and pic urls No text over photos or fancy fonts All photos should be appropriate for public viewing and the topicc Citations for all research should be included on the Works Cited slide I can format this for you just supply the url or other information on the Works Cited slide No research on AI or on analysis slides except dictionary or google Colors will be appropriate for the setting of the speech Use the school colors for the university or college involved Also pictures should be from the event or the campus involved Project Calendar see the detailed schedule in
