REFLECTION WORKING ON FUDDY MEERS AS COSTUME CREW Working on the production of Fuddy Meers was a new experience that provided me with valuable insights into the world of theater particularly the behind the scenes efforts that contribute to a successful production As a member of the costume crew I was involved in tasks ranging from costume changes to organization and maintenance offering me a unique perspective on the intricate workings of theatrical productions One of the most significant lessons I learned was the importance of collaboration and effective communication within a theater team as a whole The success of a production relies heavily on the seamless coordination of various crews and my time with the costume crew emphasizes the significance of teamwork Whether it was quickly assisting actors with costume changes organizing the dressing room cleaning the skins or coordinating with fellow crew members to ensure everything ran smoothly I gained a deeper appreciation for the interconnected nature of theater and those who dedicate their time for these shows I met the 2 other girls that helped with costume crew and we were able to work together and get everything done in an organized and fast system It was very cool seeing strangers who we were able to come to an agreement on how to run things for the best possible result I thoroughly enjoyed the work I did on Fuddy Meers The friendship created among the crew members with jokes or with helping them practice their lines along with the shared sense of accomplishment after each successful performance created a memorable and rewarding atmosphere The challenges I faced during the production only added to the sense of achievement when overcoming them reinforcing the idea that hard work and dedication are essential elements of any successful attempt Moving forward I will carry this newfound appreciation into other aspects of my life recognizing the hidden efforts that contribute to the success of any production whether on stage or in the broader context of collaborative efforts
