SAP System Log In Step 1 Logging into SAP As a first step I will show you how to log into SAP This step is common for everybody relative to the module For your convenience first we have to log in the session A small SAP log on window will come up Double click on the SAP log on icon on the desktop to log in Once you click on the logon button it will take some time to give you another screen initially The system will become fast The speed of the system depends on the RAM The user ID and password will be provided by the business consultants in real For me the user ID is India123 and the password is India123 as well For you the password is India123 and the user ID is India123 Once you give the user ID press enter The system will take you to a screen called SAP easy access screen Step 2 Entering Business Transactions The SAP system is used to account for all the transactions and the accounting system is essential for finance and controlling modules related activities To expand the accounting folder just click on it The software is well designed well adapted and the technology is very efficient It is designed to provide the most efficient and effective way possible The user interface is designed to be the most responsive way possible to access the software Although the system may not always be available the software provides the most meaningful way to the users and it is designed to be responsive to the most important user preferences This is the user ID and real time log on time The maximum number of sessions that can be opened at a time is six not seven Please remember that once you complete your training you will see an icon called create new session A session is a window or page in SAP Once we have come to the SAP Easy Access screen and are ready for processing transactions expand the Accounting folder to see various technical data such as database and server names These are not necessary for end users 1 The number of SAP sessions that can be opened at a time in a single login is 6 There are no security issues associated with opening multiple sessions However when using an ERP package some security concerns may arise When trying to open one more session an important point to note is that it will show ECC1 or ECC This is the first window If you open a second screen it will show ECC2 and so on Two screens are important to remember when using SAP the IMD screen and the SAP Easy Access screen The latter is used by end users to process business transactions Some settings are required in SAP for optimal use The term IMG stands for Implementation Guide which is used to make configurable or customization settings Clicking on SAP Reference will take us to a project to make adjustments as required It is important to note that the logged in the next step is to create a company Before doing that it is important to understand what a company is and to take note of the necessary steps Creating a Company Before creating a company in the SAP system it is essential to understand what a company is Although this may seem obvious for those with an ecommerce background it is important to clarify the concept Once understood the next step is to create the company in the system A company is a title that denotes a specific entity in the system The term EX may be used to refer to a company such as FB50F02XXX EX may also be used in the movie theaters as a term or a phrase The term EX is a symbol for exit while EX as a word may refer to a number of things such as a person company or phrase The number of times EX is used depends on the required context but it is typically symbolic Company Code The company code represents a global organization and can also represent multiple countries Company codes can be created at the country level Creating a company code helps organizations assess performance within a particular country Creating a Company Code To create a new company code 1 Create a new company and name it e g MM12 Global Window 3 2 Access the SAP easy access screen and then click on SPRO ES 3 Press Enter and click on SAP Reference IMG 4 Click on Stroma SPRO and then SAP Reference IMG 5 Select Mint option for new entries 6 In the Name field enter the company name country currency and language Click Confirm For each country in which the organization is doing business a summary comfort mode should be created A company s comfort mode represents the organization with respect to a particular country How to Edit and Save Company Data Double click to edit company data in the company code Click on save to save the message data Use the company cloud icon to become assigned company Go to company cloud icon and click on company cloud to create a company Assign a company code by clicking on create the company code after creating the company Click position in the company cloud to assign the company code the company Click on the company name and create an image and logo for To create your image click on the description content and view the example given Assigning Company Codes End users will process transactions at the company core level using company codes rather than at the company level Data flows from individual company code to company marriage Company codes will be mapped globally to created companies so it becomes possible to create global
