workforce Product quality leads to the customer satisfaction But contribution of the manpower is significant in ascertaining good quality of products It is well known fact the machine cannot work on its own and the latest technology cannot apply by itself The technology can only be applied when the workforce is trained and knowledgeable Every kind of work needs specialization and proper qualification Thus it is very important for any firm to look out for the trained individuals Right persons at right place must be the strategy of the business organizations Thus we can say that staffing and recruitment are the management processes where utmost care and diligence is needed In the given scenario the task of the team is to assemble tuning devices that go into cell phones It was found that the quality was not what was expected and thus many of the tuning devices made was brought back and reworked again Suggestion was given to train the workers in team Analysis was made into the matter After proper research and inquiry it was found that the things were going wrong due to lack of proper staffing techniques This is a staffing problem indeed Staffing problem may range not having workers to having extra number of workers Even sometimes having workers is not enough It is important to get the correct technical workers for the required job It should be noted that even unnecessary number of workers in the firm can cause severe problems of efficiency People in the organization might work for lesser hours Overall the efficiency of the worker decreases Ultimately the quality of job degrades Not having appropriate technicians for the jobs causes serious problems Obviously that would Page 2 Training of Employee lead to improper product making Recruitment forms the fundamental part of the staffing problem Recruiting unqualified personnel to the jobs might have greater impacts Assembling tuning devices in the cell phones can be regarded as a very technical job This job would need trained technicians or workers But due to lack of such personnel there occurred variances in the product quality Further it was found that the workers were not willing to work with full efficiency due to lack of perks and pay Tuning devices were brought back to the workplace to be reworked on Yet it was seen that the customers were still not satisfied with the remade product Again and again a cell phone was being brought back Repeated rework obviously leaves a bad impression Even it leads to downsize the sales figures The major reason behind such problems was the staffing problem as stated earlier Training of the new recruited personnel is primary the job of the supervisor or the team leader Assessing the above stated problem that whether training issue was involved in it or not some steps was taken Proper inquiry was carried out Questionnaires were made for the employees Analysis of the materials used was undertaken Further customer feedback was also taken After all such acts each employee was examined and tested at individual level Their level of experience was checked and also the job they performed on individual basis We know that that team work and team performance is important for the business But when such problems arise the capability of each worker should be looked upon and assessed to reach the root causes of the problems Even the qualified staffs would not give effective positive result regarding the job if proper practical training is not provided to them Theory and practical approaches have huge differences when the time comes to Training increases not only the knowhow of performing a job but also efficiency the employee Efficiency of the employee would mean better products without any discrepancies Finally good quality products would mean customer satisfaction and increase in the sales figures When the customers will be satisfied with the product and the performance of the product obviously they would not bring the products for rework Thus training plays a very important role in any business organization Personnel are important assets of the business but such assets are not of any worth if they are not polished Training is an activity which provides such polishing to the workers making them perfectly suitable for performing the job without any default In the given issue the tuning devices were not being assembled properly and the cell phone was being brought back for the rework This caused not only an increase in the monetary loss but also caused the loss of reputation of the business Investment in training would have reduced such loss of finance and reputation In the given case training would have made the employees perfect in their jobs The work of assembling would have been done with greater accuracy and perfection according to the specification of the customers The work would have been carried out without any mistakes and without leaving any scope for repair and rework Thus training can be termed as the essence of staffing The head of the organization rightly pointed out that stress must be better given to train the workforce This is to be done so as to give the direction to their efforts in right direction and help them in bringing accuracy in their job done All efforts are waste if it is not being valued and the company has to bear losses for such efforts The issue of rework
