The 1960’sCurrent LectureJFK’s death- Assassination took place November 22nd, 1963- The warren report of the death said that the assignation was in the hands of a single shooter (Lee Harvey Oswald) but also states that the real answer won’t be known for another 100 years.- Lee Harvey Oswald was captured by the police and taken to the station and was shot by Jack Ruby o Jack Ruby died of cancer in prison - People saw his death as a broken promiseLyndon Johnson- He does everything that JFK promised to doo Calls his administration “The Great Society”o 10% tax cuto Pours money into the machineo Passes Medicare, School lunches, Volunteer to America, ect.- Runs for reelection in 1964Vietnam WarThese notes represent a detailed interpretation of the professor’s lecture.
