PSIO 201: Human Anatomy & Physiology I Instructions: Create a series of PowerPoint slides or Google Slides about a functional area of the cerebral cortex and the consequences that would result from a deficit in that area. Prepare your slides as if you were using them to teach this concept to a friend who has not taken this course. Your homework should not focus on Broca’s area or Wernicke’s area and aphasia, as these topics were covered in the lecture videos. • Choose one of the following functional areas of the cerebral cortex: o Primary visual area o Visual association area o Primary auditory area o Auditory association area o Primary somatosensory area • Include the information below in your slides. o At least one image (with labels) to demonstrate the anatomical location of this area o A detailed description of the function of this area o An explanation of what might happen if this area suffered damage or was otherwise deficient.
