Gun control is one of the biggest controversial topics in America. The instance with the Orlando nightclub shooting has brought a lot of attention to it. I think that we should make our country safer, but we need to keep in mind the Constitution since it is our citizens’ right to bear arms. There is a certain criterion on how our country determines who can own a gun and who cannot.Even though these are put in place, it doesn’t mean that they are enforced. Just like other restrictions put on our citizens, including no-fly lists, there is no reasoning or legal ruling on these subjects. The opposition is going to be mostly Republicans. This means that Republicans are very dedicated to the fact that it is our right to bear arms and the government cannot take that fromthem. We do live in a country full of crime and bad people, so they want to be able to protect themselves and their families. The values that are important to them are the Constitution because they believe that our founding fathers wrote it to keep us safe. The same goes with theConstitution that they use for their reasoning and evidence. I believe that in gun control there should be a happy medium. There should be policies put in place in order to keep guns out of the hands of those who intend to harm. This is a very tricky situation because how do you do that. I don’t believe that as a result of this we should take away our people’s right to bear arms. It is in the Constitution that is their right and it will not be altered because that is what our country is set
