Lauren Kurtz Hugh Turner BMGT110 FP06 October 15 2009 Inventory and Supply Issues Approximately one week before freshmen residents move into their dorm rooms their Resident Assistants also known as RA s prepare the rooms This preparation includes leaving a few informative welcoming papers and gifts With Terp Green s new system water bottles would be waiting in each freshman s dorm room for them upon their arrival In order to obtain these water bottles RAs would report to the site on campus where they are being dropped off directly from the manufacturing company Each RA will have a list of the freshmen that they are responsible for ensuring receive water bottles For freshmen students who live off campus there will be a list of names at the desk in Stamp Student Union where these students can pick up their bottle and their name will be crossed off This list includes freshmen connection students who live off campus and will begin as full time students in the spring semester These students will be strongly encouraged via e mail to pick up their water bottles at Stamp If a student loses their water bottle they are allowed to buy another one for the low cost of 5 00 Since it will cost Terp Green 0 66 to manufacture our water bottles we will ultimately be making a profit of 4 34 on each additional water bottle purchased We will be sure to always have extra water bottles stored in Stamp Student Union for students who lose misplace or get their water bottles stolen Our ultimate goal is for disposable cups to be completely eliminated off of campus after four years when the first class to receive these water bottles are seniors This way every student will have a water bottle and disposable cups will no longer be necessary in dining situations
