Individuals who chose this profession need to be ethical, moral, and mentally strong. Prior to this class I was unaware just how much "peer pressure" couldinfluence behavior in adults. For example, if several police officers partake in unethical behaviors, another witnessing mayfeel compelled to participate as well. These men and women rely on each other to keep one another safe in extremely dangerous and possibly life-threatening situations.
