I don't thinkthat there is any disadvantages! to the individual method of an interview I think it is the best routeto go.The second job analysis i would choose is the group interview since it is designed to interview a!multiple of candidates for any given positions at one time for potential clientssomething like a job fair which is wonderful!it gives the interviewer the opportunity!to seek!out!many qualified candidates for hire they can do drug and background tests ont the spot!which!narrows the competition for new employees the disadvantage is they some will be!going!home disappointed just in case they only have!a certain number of people that they!can see.!Response 2The observation method is used in my company for time studies.! Time studies are used to determine the time it takes to do individual tasks.! Employees are observed doing their normal task to see how long it takes.! This is how our labor budgets are designed.! The employee is instructed to try to function as though they are not being watched.! Obviously this is difficult and can cause a difference in actual performance just like the textbook suggests.!There is a margin for error that is taken into consideration and many employees are observed doing the task in different regions of the company.! The low and high times are thrown out and an average is taken to decide the amount of time it should take to do the taskMy wife's company recently held individual interviews with each member of her customer service department.! The purpose was to decide if the tasks they were performing were similar to other customer service departments in the industry.! They interviewed each member of the department and compared their answers.! They compiled the answers and compared to other departments in the industry.! They could then decide if the customer service department compensated appropriately for the industry.! the disadvantage is the enormous amount of time it takes to compile the information of individual
