What would you tell a friend to convince him or her of the importance of being proactive in one’s career development and finding an employer that is career development oriented?I would tell my friend that in order to get the things we want in life we have to go after them ourselves, no one is going to do it for us. This is a chance to get out there and show employers what you are made of and you are a go getter instead of just a person who stays in an idle mode. This shows companies that you are not afraid of change and you do not run from challenges, but rather go looking for them.
