Not to be mean, but I frequently respond, “Well, how do you promote anything outside of Amazon?”My point is not to anger the people to whom I am speaking, but to open their eyes to what I am talking about here. Selling a book online is no different than selling a t-shirt, a garden gnome, a vehicle, vacation, or business service. The only difference between selling the previously described items and selling a Kindle book is that you are going to send your customers to Amazon to pick up their purchase!Selling outside of Amazon is easy, if you meet the following basic requirements... You must have:• A Sales Page;• A Payment Processing Solution;• A Product Delivery System;• And, you must Deliver Potential Buyers (Traffic) to your Sales Pages.Don't try to make your job any harder than it has to be!These are the four things that everyone needs in order to sell anything Page 3Kindle Writers Secret Marketing Advantage, by Bill Plattonline. Everything beyond these four components are just “details”. But the “details” are what scare you, isn't it?The hardest part to pull off technically is your Payment Processing and Product Delivery System, but fortunately, Amazon takes care of those for us!Many people think that posting our book titles to Amazon is the “end game”, because Amazon gives us their Payment Processing and Product Delivery System, and they give us a bit of Traffic. And, this kind of thinking is how most Kindle Authors limit their future book sales and financial success as an author... Authors write the sales copy for their books, then they wait for Amazon to deliver buyers to their sales page!!But here is an important point...Yes, Amazon will deliver traffic to your sales pages, IF you get the love of Amazon's internal search engine!!The best information I have found on manipulating Amazon's internal search engine is inside of Colin Phillips', “The Advanced Kindle Laser Beam Course”. (Yes, this is an affiliate link. If you don't want to click my link, Google the name of the product. I am not recommending it, just because I can earn a commission from it, but because chapters 3 and 4 will show you how to rank your Kindle titles in Amazon in a more reliable manner.)Amazon will give you free traffic to your sales pages, but your sales pages need to tell the story of your Kindle books in such a way as to encourage people to hit the BUY button on the sales page. Page 4Kindle Writers Secret Marketing Advantage, by Bill PlattGetting People To Click The BUY ButtonWriting good sales copy is beyond the scope of what I can cover in this short report, but I will share some basic principles with you...The first point to remember is that what you write in your sales copy – the story that you will tell on your book's sales page – should not tell the reader what the book is about, but rather, why the reader will want to read your book. You must absolutely tell the story of your book, by showing the reader what “your reader” will get, if they buy your book.Another way of saying that is that your readers all have ONE question they want answered when they read sales copy: “What is in it for me?”Consider these samples...• This college professor will teach you how to teach your kids to be better math students;• 82% of students who have watched this 45-minute DVD and spent an hour a day for two weeks, completing the exercises in the accompanying work book, have improved their math grades, by an average of two letter
