Amazon Not to be mean but I frequently respond Well how do you promote anything outside of Amazon My point is not to anger the people to whom I am speaking but to open their eyes to what I am talking about here Selling a book online is no different than selling a t shirt a garden gnome a vehicle vacation or business service The only difference between selling the previously described items and with you The first point to remember is that what you write in your sales copy the story that you will tell on your book s sales page should not tell the reader what the book is about but rather why the reader will want to read your book You must absolutely tell the story of your book by showing the reader what your reader will get if they buy your book Another way of saying that is that your readers all have ONE question they want answered when they read sales copy What is in it for me Consider these samples This college professor will teach you how to teach your kids to be better math students 82 of students who have watched this 45 minute DVD and spent an hour a day for two weeks completing the exercises in the accompanying work book have improved their math grades by an average
