Provide an example of a time when you applied problem-solving steps to resolve a specific situation. What did you do effectively and what could you have done better?At one of my previous jobs I had a issue with a nurse not putting things back where they belonged. So at one of the meetings my supervisor made mention of this situation about leaving things in order so that others could fine them. The made issue was the medication cart what a mess she would make with the medication. So I asked her if she could please put things back where they belonged. One day one of my patient's needed his nitro pills.. Guess what was not where the heart medication was and it was never reported to the pharmacist that we needed a refill. Although, I knew that she was the issue I never reported until that incident. I have learn to stop things in a professional manner so that things do not get out of control. I handle things by talking to the person at least 3 times then I my tell the supervisor. Taking care of patients is a big responsibility and I do not want a mistake myself or someone else to cost a patient their life.At my last job I remember this one situation because I was handed a lot of responsibility at once. There was a time that my team manager had to go home well to the hospital for a family emergency and it was almost time to close but she could not wait so I had to close the store all by my self. When it came to closing the building the manager had took the keys to close the doors. I was the only one left and could not just leave the building so I had to see what was the safest and most responsible way to fix the situation. What I did was call my husband to see if he could pick up the keys from the hospital and bring them to me. I felt that I needed to call some one that I trusted to get the job done so I feel that I did the correct thing I would say that I would have not called another person. I think the only thing that I would have done differently would have made sure to have all instructions clearly stated before the manager had
