For example, a ring with equal mass to a solid disk will have a higher rotational energy; more concentration of mass moving at a faster velocity because it is further away from the center of rotation. With higher rotational energy, an object will give up more of its potential to that rotation causing it to accelerate slower. Thus the ring will accelerate slower than the disk of equal mass. Pascals principle is related to areza and forces, how a force on a small area is proportional to a force on a larger area.
