The boom sphere is supported by the scale, while the top sphere cannot move. If we also tap the other sphere with the electrophorus (aer recharging it using the same process in the video above), what will happen to reading on the scale? The balls are polarized and the electrons will move to the opposite side of the ball from where the plate is and the posive will go towards the ball.
