HAWAII Important Notes---------------------- Traveler Information COVID Update: Due to COVID-19 your destination(s) may implement additional travel restrictions and requirements. These may include wearing a mask or cloth face covering, participation in thermal scans or other requirements. We recommend that travelers bring their own mask or cloth face covering. For the most current information and before finalizing your travel plans, refer to localand national public health guidelines. In addition, there may be limitations relating to lodging, flights, ground transportation and activities. Certain services and amenities may be reduced or unavailable as a result of changing circumstances. INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL COVID UPDATE (Excluding Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands): Starting January 26, 2021, air travelers 2 years of age and older willbe required to present a negative COVID-19 test result to the airline prior to boarding international flights bound for the United States. For the most currentinformation refer to CDC guidelines. Travelers who have received a COVID-19 vaccine are required to provide a negative COVID-19 test. Government-issued photo identification is required for domestic travel. Passports are required for international travel. U.S. citizens traveling only toHawaii or Puerto Rico do not require a passport. Effective May 3, 2023, all travelers 18 years of age and older will need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or other approved identification (such as a government-issued passport) to fly within the United States. More information about the REAL ID can be found at https://www.dhs.gov/real-id. There may be additional requirements for international travel, such as vaccinations and/or visas, and for non-U.S. citizens. For the most current information, please visit the official Web site for theU.S. Department of State at www.travel.state.gov. To check in for flights and obtain a boarding pass, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requires the gender, birth date and name that matches the government-issued identification for each passenger.
