This means that the writer uses logic and rationality to convey their argument or research. An example of this that is used in science is the writer explaining the results of the experiment. If the reader needs to follow the writer’s train of thought in order to understand the logic and reasoning behind the results of the experiment. 2. Ethos: Ethos is credibility. This means that the reader would use credible sources in order to enhance their writing. This would be used in science do scientific articles and reports. The writer would need to use credible sources in order tosupport their claims. This gives the report credibility so the reader does not think that the writer is pulling things out of thin air. 3. Pathos: Pathos is emotions. This means that the writer appeals to the writers emotion. They can do this by mentioning topics like family, friendship, etc. This emotions are either positive or negative so the reader can relate to what the writer is writing about. An example in science would be if a writer should use pathos in their scientific article so it creates an emotion in the reader so that the reader can relate to their
