A c o s t a | 1Lorraine AcostaPHIL324028 September 2019Week 3: Project CheckpointThe community that my organization is going to serve is Dania Beach, Florida, the town Ireside in. My organization is going to address some of the obstacles that the female homeless population faces every day, such as personal hygiene and hunger. I am taking a utilitarian approach in this matter, concentrating specifically on the “objective theory.” I plan to develop an organization where homeless women can keep the little bit of dignity they have left; somewhere they can feel human. A place they can get a hot meal at without having to dig through garbage and prevent them from starving, a place that provides basic clothing and showers, hygiene products like deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes, soap and shampoo, tampons and pads, where they can wash their clothes to stay clean and avoid infections, and sunblock, which is vitalin sunny Florida. Finally, a place where they can volunteer themselves and, for those who don’t have any, gain some experience for future
